Through Namaste Artisans, handmade felt and hemp pieces travel from local Nepali workshops to homes and stores globally, carrying real stories, fair wages, and craft you can feel in your hands.
Growing up in the Kathmandu Valley, Subash Lamsal and Pankaj Bhandari were surrounded by the rich tapestry of Nepali craftsmanship. They watched local artisans pour skill and patience into every piece—work shaped by generations of practice, quiet pride and tradition. Each handcrafted item carried a story, but those stories rarely travelled beyond their own streets.
As they got older, Subash and Pankaj saw the gap more clearly: incredibly talented makers, limited reach. Their work was good enough for the world, but the world barely knew it existed. That realisation became the starting point for Namaste Artisans—a way to share Nepal’s craft with a wider audience while keeping the making process firmly rooted at home.
What began with a few artisan families in Kathmandu has grown into partnerships with dozens of craftspeople across Nepal. Together, they focus on fair wages, sustainable practices and consistent quality, so every piece can stand on its own anywhere in the world.
Every product you find at Namaste Artisans carries a little of Nepal with it—the warmth of its people, the strength of its traditions, and a shared hope for a brighter, more secure future for artisan communities.
